ok. totally not the first to comment on this.
a friend shared this morning and now i’ve read a lot of other articles
but…it’s so interesting! i love it.
we saw the movie last weekend and i totally didn’t catch it.
i was just thinking 2 other things about the song:
1. interesting that Marion Cotillard played Edith Piaf in “La vie en rose”
2. how the title “Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien” (No Regrets) was very fitting for the film as the theme of regrets was reoccurring

but now i definitely think the entire thing was a dream (because I wasn’t sure at the end) as Hans Zimmer has spoke of the opening title sequence starting with this, as if the action was already happening.
